Jacob had a sliver and decided that he could get it out with a knife. He told me he had seen daddy do this before and so he went to the drawer to find a knife, but he could not find the small pocket knife. He went to another drawer and found Daddy's leatherman and opened it up, as he opened it up he also sliced his two fingers open, one down to the bone!
ER here we come... he kept saying I am sorry daddy then he held up his hand the blood was all over, Brian grabbed him and stuck his hand under cold water. I asked how bad is it... He just gave me the look and off they went with ice-pack and tears! His middle finger was not as bad as his pointer finger. The middle finger was more of a clean cut and the pointer finger was chucked up more and was swollen!
This was taken right before they were able to glue them the second time, Monday Labor day here in the ER instead of at a BBQ!

We thought we were really lucky because they were able to glue his fingers and they didn't need to suture or numb him.... I say thought because we had to go back to the ER two other times because the glue didn't hold. The last time they couldn't even glue it again because it had been too long and the skin was dead! NEXT time I think stitches!

That looks like it hurts!! I saw the notes on facebook, but this was in much more detail. The poor thing. I'm glad we did stitches with Lana and all was well. I need to show this to Austin so he can see what not to do. :)
Your life is not dull, is it?
