I joined a 9 patch swap the first of September! We had a month to make our blocks, I signed up to make 5 blocks! I sent my blocks to CA (3), MA, and TN. It has been a lot of fun. So far I have received two block, one from Oakley CA and one from Holyoke, MA! Nataila, the organizer of the group, gave us a link to a easy 9 patch demo. This is my take on the demo...
First for a 12" block you cut 4 1/2" strips of fabric.
Next you sew the strips together using a 1/4" seam. One will be as show below, 2 cream with 1 pattern fabric and the other will be opposite.
