Soldier Hollow

Brian was home for the day and with the weather being poor, he went straight to work on the driveway. After clearing our driveway he went over to mom's and cleared hers too, 4 hours later and a couple Tylenol, he was ready for something fun. We decided we would take the boys over to Soldier Hollow. The boys were required to do some picking up before we could go. By the time the boys had the toys and room picked up Jack was down for a nap. I haven't been feeling really great since yesterday so I opted to stay home with Jack. Brian had me call Micheal Poloncic to go with them, best idea ever. He was so excited, I heard him tell his Dad, Dad I can pay for it, you don't have too. May he rub off on my children.Aiden didn't do so well with the pick up part of the deal, so he had to sit and wait for 20 min. or so until he was able to go down the hills with Jacob, Michael and Daddy. Brian told him "you walked around and didn't pick up, so you can walk around and not go down the hill for a bit when we get there." The boys got these new coats for Christmas from Mamos and Poppa, they were in desperate need of new coats, Thanks mom and father. (Note: Amanda, they are the "same size" not the same color.)

They also got new boots and gloves, poor Jacob and Aiden both have too small of snow pants but that is what we have the pioneer journals for as Brian puts it. At one point going up on the tubes Aiden lost his hat, I am assuming that this picture was after that. I so would not have put his hat on like that, you roll the bottom right!!! That is a Daddy helped you with your hat picture of Aiden, I also would have zipped up his coat all the way and put up his hood...and yet they survived?

We love the Poloncic's, they are such a huge part of our lives. Mae Mae was up tubing as well and we are so thankful for their friendship.

We are going to go again so be prepared to go tubing on a last min. call from the Rowsers. NO SHELIA'S !

Note: When Brian told Jacob where we were going Jacob responded with "did they have a lot of wars there." Brian asked him why very puzzled, Jacob said because of "Soldier Hollow it sounds like a battle was there." Brian again responded with "Jacob that is a very good question and I don't know."

OH MY GOSH! We were so planning on going yesterday afternoon! That's crazy you guys went. We would have seen you guys for sure! My Mom's plane left later that we thought and so we had to bag the tubing idea. We have never been, and so for yesterday to be our first day and you guys would have been there is a New Years Miracle, haha....J/K. Looks like a lot of fun.

You must be mentally stable to not dress your boys in the same color of coats. Hey, at least we don't have to worry about Thomas coming home with Aiden's coat from school. My SIL is coming Monday to hang out, but after Monday sometime let’s get the boys together....maybe sledding. GAME ON! I am guessing you didn’t go B/C you are preggers, right? Anyway, can’t wait to see ya’ll!

How come we don't do anything fun like that when we are there? I WANT TO GO, it looks like fun especially since I don't have to carry the sled (tube) up the hill every time.

Looks like a good time. My kids would love it if I would let them get out of the house and go too. Next time.
