Windows Live Messenger has been a favorite for our family for some time now. We used it constantly while my Mother and Father were on their mission in Australia. Jacob loved to get on and play a game of checkers with Mamos. About 3-4 months ago I encouraged my friend Rachel to sign up so Kelsey (who is in Jacob's Kindergarten class) and Jacob could play games against each other. We have tried to do it a couple times but last night and tonight were the first times that the kids have been able to play. I came into the computer room and Jacob said "I won and then Kelsey smoked me."
I love that he is playing and learning at the same time. Jacob called Kelsey last night and asked her if she wanted to play and tonight Kelsey called him. Kelsey will call Jacob after the games have stopped. She is so funny, she talks about the moves they made, and what happened, who made good moves, who made silly moves. She is a good friend to Jacob. They both agreed that they are going to play again tomorrow, maybe have a game of uno too next time.

Kelsey totally loved every minute. She told her dad "Dad, me and Jacob played checkers together on the computer, but we were at our own houses!"

What a fun idea! Maybe you can teach me, so my kids can play with their cousins in Japan!
Heather with Uno you can have 4 people play all in different places on different computers. Maybe you, Rachel, Amanda and I can all play a game sometime.
