1- I turned 34 years old. I remember making a cake for my mom when she turned 34. It is hard to believe that I have 3 small children and am getting older. It has really hit me lately that I don't look like I am in my 20's.
This picture is of myself, Amanda, and Rachel. We went out to dinner on my birthday. We enjoyed ourselves and were extremely giggly. When I downloaded these photos, I realized I need a hair cut desperately. After seeing my big hair in high school, I decided I needed a happy medium. So the plan was to go back to Amanda's house and she was going to cut our hair.

It didn't happen, we visited for a while and then went home. So the next day Amanda called and said if you want hair cuts, it has to be tonight or it will have to wait until Monday. Brian was flying my Mom home so she missed out on the hair cutting, but we did get a lot done with the painting... (save for another post).
So on Wednesday I took Jacob and Aiden over to play with Thomas and William. They have so much fun together. It is nice that she has two boys so that if Thomas is playing with Aiden then William and Jacob play etc... you get the idea. No third boy left out, or no more Jacob is invited but Aiden is not. Thomas and Jacob have been in preschool together for some time we just didn't realize that as mom's we would get a long so well. This friendship really should have started over 2 years ago.

After both Rachel and I received wonderful hair cuts. We took pictures in front of the tree. Aiden above with his cape that he refused to take off, and myself and Rachel below with a lot less hair.

Thanks again Amanda I love my hair cut... Now if it will just grow to the hair length I want. I told her that it looked like she cut my hair longer.
Jacob didn't want to go. Mark (Amanda's husband) had made hot Chocolate with some nifty device that stirs and warms Hot Cocoa. He drank I think two glasses full and Aiden had two mug's full. Mark played with all the boys while we got our hair cut, he was so funny. You would hear running then screaming then, your under arrest. I am taking ..... "YOU" in and they would scream and giggle. Every day I have to come up with new reasons why we can't go over to Thomas and Williams house.
On to another story...
SHELIA UPDATE:
Brian called me on Friday, after I had shoveled the driveway for almost 3 hours. It was snowing pretty hard and it was all I could do to keep up, I was tired and had completely neglected my kids. Things were a mess, inside, but that drive way looked nice. Brian called to tell me, from his nice warm hotel room, that his thumb that had swollen up again was killing him. So after going back to his cozy room, he found the sewing kit and did a little poke. Puss and blood flowed out of the split skin, after a bit of self mutilation he found that his body had pushed the last two pieces of sliver up to the surface and he was able to get them out! How amazing, he said to me, the human body is so amazing. Yes it is, but at the time, I was feeling a bit amazed by the amount of snow that kept falling. We were in two different worlds. I was a bit selfish in my world and I admit now that Brian was trying to call and visit with me, talk to me, share with me. I listened but, didn't listen like I should have. Well his finger is much better now, I guess the Dr. didn't get it all out last time. I am sure he will give us a Refund!

Brian, only real men can dig out a puss infected, blood oozing foreign object from one's own body. Nice job!
Jen, your haircut is stinking cute (stinking is a good thing by the way) and so fun. Thanks from my head too Amanda! I feel refreshed!
How cute is your cake! I hope that Brian was home for your birthday. Rob was gone for mine last year and it was the pits!
This was a fun and crazy week together. It's addicting:) Sure do love your sweet boys. It's a daily topic in our house of when we are going to see Jacob, Aiden, and of coarse Jack-Jack. Rachel, thanks for letting me butt in on your fun friendship. You might have to burn my house down to give me the hint of you want me to leave you two alone:) I sure do enjoy hanging out with you guys though and now Mark has more reasons to play x-box, he's not complaining. Confirm to Brian for me that I do have a family and a life; it just involves you and Rachel now, lol!
I was so stuck on the other pictures that I did not even look closely at your cake, that is so sweet!
did is say 'momma?'
right on
Amanda, you are funny girl. Your house will not get burned down nor egged nor toilet papered. Promise. There is no such thing as butting into a friendship, the more the merrier.
I love you even more Rachie...smooches to you!
Jen and Rachael you look "fetching" (Is that the right way to use that word?) I WANT a hair cut too. I didn't know anyone could cut hair longer! Jen your hair looks longer.
