Heber Care Center

Today Jacob and I spoke at the local Care Center. We only had 5 women show up.

Jacob gave his talk from Sunday, he did such a good job. They didn't have a microphone so I had to help remind him to speak up and look at the Lady's. The two lady's behind Jacob are twins. They came from a family of 9 girls and 1 boy. They sure had some funny stories to tell. Everyone loved Jacob and thought he was so cute.

Wilma (I think that is her name) above in the purple holding the hand of her sweet daughter. Got teary when Jacob gave his talk. Before he gave his talk Jacob asked me why she was shaking her head. I told him she couldn't help it, sometime older people get just do that. He told me it was nice that her Daughter was holding her hand.
Jacob also noticed something going on it the room behind the ladies, he said "look momma they are doing surgery back there." I laughed and said no. Then explained that the girls were in scrubs, but I think they were cooking. If they were doing surgery it was very intense.
My neighbor Sister Kate Buchanan played a Christmas medley of Songs, it was beautiful. It makes me want to practice some songs to play.

Mom by the way, Jacob said he would hold your hand when I send you to the old folks home! JK

Jen's mom. I would watch that daughter of yours if I were you!!

Jacob IS so cute. What a brave little man. Good job for you. What an experience for a 5 year old, maybe we should go for a visit down there too. Put some perspective on this Christmas Season!

Jen, Clint always said he would take good care of me when I get way way older and put me in a nice old folks home, but YOU! I thought you would take care of me always...you have nothing else to do! I know Jacob would hold my hand, and of course they loved him, he is so handsome and smart.

I love rest homes. Really, they are the sweetest places and you can just be yourself there. Part of that is, is that if you do something embarrassing...most likely they will never remember you. When I was in H.S. in England, we lived only blocks away from a Care Center and my BFF Angela and I would go down there when we were bored. We actually had some fun times and met some wonderful people. I remember dancing in the "Tea" room and playing the piano while Angela waltzed around with them. It was like we were celebrities when we arrived. Good times. I hear you Rachel, we should do that more often. Good for you Jenny and I am sure Jacob loved it too!
