The boys all sit down at the top of the stairs before they are allowed to come down.

We then showed them the gift that Brian bought me and the boys. Brian explained that Christmas was about Jesus Birth and asked the boys what that meant.
Jacob- "It means that he was born, then he died for us so we can live with him again."
Daddy - "yes, so we need to remember him this Christmas time."
Daddy then showed the boys that Greg Olsen signed the back of the picture
To: Jenny, Jacob, Aiden, Jack, and the new little one. Merry Christmas 2007.
He skipped the "new little one" part, I thought that was funny. I would have forgot. We then talked a bit about how Jesus was a gift to us and that this picture can help remind us of that....

Downstairs Santa brought "Rokenbok" for the two boys, and then two Thomas trains for Jack. Aiden's favorite toy was the Optimus Prime Helmet with a voice changer. (pictured above)

Jack played and played with his new trains. I took his train table up to his room, we didn't have him open it, I didn't feel right about it being a gift from us when we received it from a friend for free. Amanda, I can't thank you enough. Jack built his train track, then walked around and around that table for I would say 2-3 hours. He loves it! Thanks Jones, for letting us keep up with you! hee hee

This is Brian putting the Rokenbok together. His Dad called around this time and asked what he was doing.
Brian said "what every other Dad is doing."
Dad said, "what assembling toys."
Brian, "you got it."
Unfortunately, I have the worst luck. Part of the Rokenbok doesn't work. I was able to get on the telephone today and they are sending us a new loader truck (main working part) and a new Conveyor (the other main working part). Way to go Santa, your elves blew this one.

A little later on in the day I had one present left over. I had asked my mom to wrap it a bunch of times. The boys laughed and laughed that every time they opened it, there was more wrapping paper underneath. I like to do this with a family movie, so we have something to watch on Christmas. I had no idea they would laugh and have so much fun together. Thanks mom for wrapping it 22 times ok maybe only 11.
I am so grateful for all of our blessing this season. We have had some incredible ones! I love my family and friends and wanted to thank all of you for your kindness and thoughts this Christmas season as well.

Jen,
I'm so sorry that the Rokenbok didn't work. I hope that the parts come quickly and that the boys are able to enjoy them soon.
I love how you started out Christmas. It is such a great way to help your kids remember the reason why we celebrate. What a great mom you are!
Krista
I love the first picture, your boys all squooshed into one big boy hug! See, they have been good!
I too love the picture of Christ, so great. That is an incredible idea.
Looks like a super good Christmas. Sorry we missed the launching of the tators! Holler if you do it again!
By the way, Kelsey LOVES the optimus helmet!
"optimus helment with voice changer" It drives my mom and dad crazy and they are the ones who bought it for Aiden...
The Optimus Helmet doesn't drive us crazy, we just thought it would be a good toy "NOT" to bring back up to Idaho, OK, maybe it does drive us a little crazy.
Looks like a fun and excting x-mas. Good job for making the time for Christ that morning. I might just steal that idea form ya. William is going to love Aiden's Optimus Prime Helmet. That's what Grandma's are for with all the loud toys. My Mom brought lazer guns for the boys that do 10 different laser sounds and then left at the end of the day and told me to enjoy them. I was like, "Thanks Mom!" Miss you guys!
