We wasted a whole day

I called my mom and told her all the fun things that Brian and Aiden were doing up in Idaho then in Canada and she said poor Jacob and Jack. Jacob has loved fishing for his whole 6 years and was extremely disappointed that Aiden was invited and he was not. Aiden could care less about fishing at this point. So mamos decided to build something with Jacob. They built this bird house and spent an entire day drilling, cutting, and painting.

Later on in the day after everything was done and cleaned up Jacob said,

"I can't believe we wasted a entire day building a bird house."
Both my mom and I have teased him about this comment and he just looks at me as if to say "drop it already, I am only 6 and I thought saying that made me look grown up." He loves his bird house and we can't wait to hang it up in our tree in front.
I thought Jacob did a great job building and even painting this bird house. He came up with the idea of drilling holes in each end and hanging a wire so we could put it in our tree.
Mamos was very impressed with his creative mind and his power tool skills, even if he did WASTE the WHOLE day.
