It was schedule to meet and watch a movie at my house tonight. Rachel and Jones usually come to the garage door so when I heard the knock on the door I yelled come in, another knock I realized that it was the front door. As I walked closer to the front door I heard the door bell, I picked up my pace because my kids were in bed and I didn't want anything to wake them up. As I opened the door, hoop skirts and frills where all that I saw.
I understand now that Rachel had decided that "Gone with the Wind" would be the movie we would watch tonight. Amanda's family is involved in the Civil War reenactments so she wore a Southern Bell dress with hoop skirt and all! Rachel wore her prom dress from 1992, again with hoop skirt. BTW I have never owned a hoop skirt.
After they arrived we spent the next 40 min. taking pictures of girls in dresses and what happens when you try to sit down in a hoop skirt and don't properly adjust the upper hoops. Laughing our heads off we were off to the bedroom with our big screen TV and "Gone with the wind." At intermission we found the remote button on Amanda's camera and had a little fun with our 14 year old girl silly sleep over poses!
