"Fuddy Dud"

We're going to the Zoo, we're going to the ZOO! They have monkeys...Yesterday I asked Brian if he wanted to go to the zoo today with Jacob's class. I told him that I wanted one of us there, to help Jacob behave and keep track of his diabetes. He said "no, just send him with someone else."
My thought was, he must have plans... then this morning I asked him again. "I think we should take the kids to get their piggy flu shots this morning and then all go to the Zoo." FYI: I didn't say this in front of the kids...
"No, that doesn't sound fun to me!" Brian said as we walked back into the kitchen where the kids were eating breakfast.
"Fun to you, this is about the kids and how much fun they would have."
Wait, he gives me a hard time about not wanting to do things... WE ARE GOING, I thought to myself.
Aiden said, "I want to do something fun."
Brian said he didn't want to go... Aiden called him a Fuddy DUD!

I smiled and packed lunches for all of us! We did have a lot of fun! (If you are confused about the word Fuddy Dud, it is a "Brian"word that he uses when I don't want to do things that he wants to do.)

This morning I woke the kids up around 6:45 so we would have a good morning. I let them watch cartoons for around 10 min. and then had them get ready. I made french toast, bacon, and OJ, 5 lunches, packed the diaper bag but never made it into fix my hair or make up. I loaded the kids into the car as suggested by Brian that we get to the Health department early. As we were loading up Brian said he would meet me later. "I am not ready" he said to me... neither am I!

I took the kids to the health department and waited in line for about an hour. Brian walked to the front of the line and we were called into the room for the vaccine. Nice timing...

We called Grandma J on our way down to Salt Lake City to see what she was up to for the day and invite her to the zoo. She said "I am going to the zoo today with Sharece." Great see you there I replied.

After Jacob's class left back to Heber on the bus, we went on the train and then Brian told the kids he would take them on the merry go round if they scratched his back the entire way!
