Halloween Party

I decided that we should not go out and about this year even though the boys do feel better. A friend in the ward called me today and I asked her if she would have her boys take one extra bag around at trunk or treat for the boys and surprise them with it! Another neighbor brought over some treats and a CD of Halloween music I am going to use for the cake walk later.

I went to the store, movie, ice-cream, pizza, candy, prizes, and cupcakes!

I came home and asked the boys if they wanted to dress up... I love my boys! No, lets just have a party they said. We put the pizza in the oven and I drove down to Joan Binggeli's house to pick up a treat for the boys! She made spud nuts (doughnuts), they were so good, she also had other treats for them, I sure love her. When I got home we ate pizza then played bingo... each boy received two prizes. After Bingo we made scary shaped rolls out of bread dough. I put them aside to rise and the boys went to watch a movie. The boys had one piece of candy all night and we had one group of trick or treaters come to our house. Joel and John Hicken dropped off the bag of candy for the boys (from trunk or treat) along with some doughnuts.
What a great Halloween, I think we will do this more often!
I bought material to make Jacob a "Max" costume... It never happened!

Sound like my kind of Halloween. Maybe then I would like the holiday. You are such a good mom. So much more hands on than I am. And I wish I had your neighbors...sometimes.
