8 Million dollar mini van!

This is a "status update" that came across facebook from Brian:
I Had a loss of oil pressure indication in the right engine on the jet yesterday while descending out of 37,000' into Calgary. Had to shut the right engine down and land with one engine....nice to have two engines to start with!!
All without the passengers knowing!

WHAT!
Actually he called me later on in the day and told me what had happened. I asked him why he didn't tell the passengers and he said "I told Steve (boss), but he didn't want me to tell the other passengers because one of his friends is scared to death to fly in private aircraft. Brian fly's single pilot too (no copilot), which adds concern to some people.
When he could see that he was going to make the airport just fine, he radioed the tower and asked that they call off the emergency equipment. They wouldn't/couldn't, because he declared an emergency landing... so after he touched ground he then asked them to please back off. "I have a passenger on board that is scared of small airplanes (10 passenger jets are not small to me) and he is going to come apart, please back off."
They all backed off with the exception of one who needed to speak with Brian to gather information for his report. Brian and Steve told the passengers that the airport was having a practice drill and that's why there were so many fire trucks chasing them down the runway.
They never knew!

That's funny! My father-in-law is also scared to death to fly in a small plane. If it was him on board he would have panicked completely and sent everyone else into hysterics! Brian is a smart man to avoid that mess!
