Fourth Article of Faith

Jacob was asked to memorize the fourth Article of Faith for Primary. He did really well and I was very proud of him. Jack was asked to say a scripture, I was sick last week and was not at Church last week, Brian mentioned it to me but I didn't remember, so Jack was not prepared. I ended up giving the scripture and Jack ended up crying on the floor.

I do however remember washing Jacks sweater vest last week and seeing a mangled volunteer sticker on it. I remember thinking I wonder what Jack volunteered to do!

Last week when Brian came home from Church, all three boys went straight into time out! I was still feeling pretty sick, but I knew it must of been a hard day for Brian. Him being alone with all 4 kids, along with teaching priesthood. I don't think he has ever had all 4 at church before ALONE, well mainly because I was nursing or I would stay home with the sick child and keep Charlee with me. I do however remember being alone with all 4 kids at church and teaching R.S. with Jack in R.S. with me because he had a runny nose and couldn't go to class. Jacob had diabetes issues and came in as well. Yet we still learned about Joseph Smith.... well I think everyone did. Okay Charlee was in utero, but that doesn't make her easy. Brian held her through his lesson, I held her through my lesson, same same right!
Side note: I guess women and men are different. If I was teaching a lesson and holding Charlee, I am sure I would have 4-24 women offer to hold her while I taught. NOT PRIESTHOOD. Brian did a one arm lesson. I guess what doesn't kill us "truly" makes us stronger!

Upon arrival at our house, Brian immediately blamed their bad behavior on me. I just told him, it is absolutely not my fault, & welcome to my day, EVERY day! I don't think he wanted to admit it, at least it is a nice thought to think that he got a glimpse of what I go through when he is out of town. Deep down I am sure he has not linked the two together, and he still blames me for their bad behavior. I like to live in la la land though so I will keep believing in the "glimpse" and that Brian possibly received a better understanding of what I deal with all week.

I think it is good for them to get a little glimpse of what it is like to take care of kids alone. Gary has been home most of this week and I confess to laying in bed a little longer if I hear sounds of struggles outside the door...then I just smile when he starts to complain. He quickly realizes why I am smiling and says they act better for you. Yeah right :).

Brad has done that one arm teaching in priesthood before. It's good for them once in a while!
