CBGM

NOT sure if I mentioned before, but for some grand and miraculous reason our insurance didn't cancel the first of this month and Jacob's new CBGM was approved and should be shipped soon. We will have some training and hopefully we will make some progress with Jacobs numbers, and his overall A1C.

Yesterday, Jacob's numbers only went over 75 twice all day. I couldn't keep him up, I finally had to change his basal rate to "0.00" so he would not receive any insulin at all and we still struggled keeping his numbers up.

Nothing seemed to keep him up. It was a warm day, but he was at school and I can't imagine he had excessive exercise. It was a hard and Strange day!

Today however I can't seem to get him to come down, he is opposite today, I can't keep his numbers below 200.

Have I mentioned that Diabetes is a nasty disease!

That sounds like no fun at all! I'm so excited for you to get your new machine!

We pray every day for Jacob (and for the other kids, too!). Maybe someday they'll have a cure for diabetes. In the meantime, Jacob is so lucky to have you for a mom to take care of him!

Hopefully the new monitor will solve the #'s problem and not add to it! we will be praying for that!
