Two lives!

We have all heard about it in the news! Men who have two lives, in two cities, and two families. I think that Brian is one of those men.

Talking to Brian the other day, he mentioned that he was missing his family so much because usually when he is gone for this long he is at training or something that takes up all his time. The extra time he has is spent, EATING (so Brian) and studying for his tests. Well and boosting his ego, hanging around people who think he is an amazing pilot, and asking him to work for them.

So this last trip he mentioned how hard it is for him.

Jen: "So where are you?"

Brian: "I am at the grocery store."

Jen: Very confused, is he getting a sandwich or something, if he is hungry he will just go and eat out. "What are you doing there?"

Brian: "Getting groceries."

Jen: "Why!"

Brian: "For everyone, Elizabeth sent me with a list."

Jen: Picking myself off the floor, "you can be trusted with a grocery list?"

Speaking to him this past two weeks, he has installed a sink, fixed a lighting system, watched kids, ran to the hardware store, fixed the refrigerator doors (which included taking off the wood panel), did flight planning to many different cities and to Canada, went grocery shopping, and not to leave anything out he even got a parking ticket.

Brian: "I hate parking in California!"

I had to giggle because he told me some of the things on the list. I have gone to the grocery store for us and Elizabeth when we are up with them staying at the cottages at Lake of the Woods. Lets just say, some of the things on the list I had never heard of.

Brian said that he was teased about his mountain man coffee, he said he knew he was going to get that one wrong. On the list it only said 'Not' Decaf, he called to ask more instructions because when he got to the coffee he found a wide variety of different coffee's and he had no clue. I guess he ended up getting Instant instead of ground,

Elizabeth and Steve said it was awful! I guess that is what you get when you send your MALE non coffee drinker pilot shopping for fresh ground coffee with the only instruction 'Not Decaf'!

I have to be pretty tired or extremely pregnant to send Brian to the store for me. Although when I send him, I am certain he will only come back with what is on the list and we save a lot of money.

All these honey-do chores must have got him into the mood, because he has done so much around the house. Stuff that makes me feel like a bad housekeeper, but a very grateful wife.

So back to my point, he is a different man at work than at home. Not that he has a different wife or family, I am just always shocked the things that he can do and how well he does them.

"I hate driving in San Fransisco!"

The instant coffee thing is funny. My neighbor said that all instant coffee is good for is to chew up dry to get your teeth dirty.
He does lead a different life when he is working, that is for sure.

What kind of fridge has wooden panels?

HAHA, it's hard to be "Mr. Brawny Man"..he's livin' the dream. He is a good husband to ya and the kids. He is definitely a hard worker. As for you....you amaze me on how you cope with him being gone with no routine schedule. I don't know how you do it and stay sane. Stop laughing Jenny, yes...I think you are sane and normal! Hope you are feeling ok and Aunt Mandy is just dying to hold you little one!!!!
