I Love You Stinky Face

Brian recently returned after being gone for almost 3 weeks. The boys missed him so much as did Brian miss his boys. I find that he has more energy to go and jump on the tramp, chase them around in the woods, play baseball, and take them into stores!

This morning, after a really hard night for me, Brian got up and went outside and played with his boys. Baseball is what they wanted to play and Baseball is what they played. After awhile I finally got up and got into the shower, Brian came into the bathroom and told me that he was going to Park City to pick up some shingles for our roof. After this last bad wind storm we lost 6 or 7 more shingles and he decided to take all three boys with him. I protested at first, Brian responded with why! I said to myself WHY, let him take those boys with him. I was able to get a few things done in the morning, but was in a lot of pain so unfortunately I didn't get all that I wanted to done.

Brian also has been a huge help with Jack. He and Jack have become night buddies and he will read to Jack Jack until Jack says that he is tired and wants to go to bed. WOW I love having a little boy who knows when he wants to go to bed. The other night Brian was reading books to Jack and he read one of our favorites "I love you stinky face." The next morning Brian mentioned to me that the "I love you stinky face" book should be read at Mamos's funeral.

Not that Brian wants my mom to die anytime soon, but the book reminds him of Mamos so much! He mentioned this part in the book, the little boy is talking to his mom and says;

"But mama (we read it mamos), but, mama, what if I where a Green Alien from Mars, and I ate bugs instead of peanut butter?"

The mom replies, "Then I would dress you in colors that showed off your nice green skin... and I would pack your lunch box with beetles and spiders and ants and grasshoppers and the tastiest bugs you ever had. And I would pack a note with all the bugs that said, 'I love you, little greenie Bon appetit.'"

Brian said, I can so see your mom doing all of these things for her kids and grandkids. I thought what a complement.
My boys will often ask why they can't do or have something and my response is "because I don't love you!" the boys will 'ALWAYS' look up at us and say "yes you do!"
"No I don't," I will say back. They smile and say "yes you do!" I am glad that my boys know that we love them unconditionally. I hope they always remember that!

sounds like a cute book, and yeah for mamos, she would do all of that nasty stuff for the little men in her life
