This is Thomas Jones launching the first rocket (Jacob's) with our red neck launching controls, which consisted of speaker wire touched to each end of a row of AA batteries taped together with electricians tape. Then alligator clawed to the the ignitor on the engine that is at the bottom of the rocket. What a brave boy!
We saw Jacobs rocket go up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up, a little poof and then nothing! Maybe that is what started the JR Smith teacher's copy room on fire! Wait it started on fire before we launched rockets! This next picture is what smoke is left from Aiden's Rocket going off.
It also went up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up, with a poof then we saw the gliders and rocket with parachute coming down. The gliders didn't glide very well, they seemed more to be like missiles headed back to earth.
Mark, Aiden, Jacob, and Thomas. It looked like Mark was going to get it and then the wind blew it backwards and Jacob got it.
Thanks Jones for coming tonight and thanks to Brent and family for coming last week. We had a lot of fun. I hope that soon we will have less snow and it will be a bit more fun to launch off Rockets.

Looks so fun! Okay, not really but I thought I would say so. I am impressed with the whole battery/lighter/launcher/thingy. I may have to see that in person!
I wondered what started that fire!!!
That was a fun night! Don't worry Rachel, it's taken years for me to find this boy stuff "fun". But we did have a "BLAST" haha and a good time afterwards.
Yea, what was that fire the other day...a house fire? Do you have something to confess Rowsers?
Different Fire! JR Smith School really had a fire during school in the teachers copy room aroun 9 AM on Monday! Way before we launched our Rockets! I feel like I am on the movie, October Sky, "we didn't start the fire promise"
