Out with the old!

Brian has wanted new carpet for sometime now, we are so opposite. I would love new carpet, but I think of all the work it would take to do something like that and I choose the easy way. This is a picture of me and the boys waiting Wednesday morning for the carpet guys to show up. I loved having no furniture in the house, all except I had no where so lay down or sit! To put it nicely, it was a miserable day spending it in my car, for me and the kids. Brian teased me because I vacuumed the carpet before they came to rip it out.... I also painted the downstairs, so I didn't have to be careful around the baseboards. It was so fun to be a little messy! Brad and Mom (Suzanne) came yesterday and helped us move things out. I was so grateful, I didn't do much but what I did do wore me out. I don't know what "Brian" would have done without their help, I am sure I would have tried to do more and ended up with more bruises than I already have.

It was a very cold, wet, windy, rainy day. One good thing is that Aiden has his singing program today and we get to go watch him sing!
I did think about my neighbors today as I was driving around. I thought about who's house I could go to and knock and say "can I lay on your couch?" I thought of many people who I know would have taken me and even scary Jack Jack in and let us just lay down for a bit. Thank you to all my friends and family for letting me know that you will be there when I need you, even if I am bringing a very tired 2 year old with me. I thought of how Christ like my friends and neighbors are, and how they would not turn us away. I love living in this little town, and I am glad that we are all here for each other.
