Around 3:30 PM I received a knock at my back sliding glass door. I jumped out of bed (because I was trying to take a nap) and went to the door. Katie and Michael Poloncic stood at the window with a piece of paper that had a comic pasted to it. The top of the Paper Reads
Jenny's theme SONG!
"I will survive (MOTHERHOOD)"
to the tune of Gloria Gaynor's Hit single
At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking of the endless days
my poor brain would be fried
But as I spent those sleepless nights
cleaning vomit from my hair
I grew strong, and we began a love affair
And soon you grew, into a child
with milk mustaches on your face
and hair like Tarzan-from-the-wild
Sometimes I'd rather jump a bridge
than wipe jelly off the fridge
But I'll survive, I will Survive!
So now we'll go, walk out the door
and hit every "mom and Me" class
till I finally hit the floor
Weren't you the one who wanted t-ball,
Tae Kwon Do and Chuck E. Cheese?
You think I'd crumble?
You think I'd pass out on my knees?
Oh no, Not I! I will survive!
As long as I've got sitters
who charge less than 4-star dinners
I'll survive, I will survive!
It took all the strength I had
not to lose my wits
when you broke the hallway mirror
into tiny bits
and I spent oh so many nights
washing pee-stained SpongeBob sheets
and scrubbing mud off my car door
you scuffed up with soccer cleats
And yet I'm here, stayed all this while
You're worth every buzz-cut Barbie,
every peanut butter smile
So when my face starts turning red
'cause you glued Legos to my head
I'll still love you..
no matter what else
lies ahead
AND I'LL SURVIVE
I WILL SURVIVE!!
Wow, I think I will Survive! But only because the children are in bed, and as soon as I take out the garbage, clean up the mess in the kitchen, pick up the poop stained under ware, take the wet clothes out of the shower (Jack Jack locked me out again, 'cold shower'), call my mom and wish her a Happy Mothers Day, get some food out for Brian when he gets home, empty the dishwasher....etc then I think I will go to bed. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Love the song! Hope you had a great day!
that is a funny song. It
is so true.
is it really as easy as the song makes it seem?
That is such a great version of that song! Love it!
