Thursdays are my busy day. After carpool and getting Aiden off on the bus, I figure I better head to the Grocery Store to get my $5 Turkey and some other awesome coupon deals. I gather my coupons and head to the store. I do a bit of Shopping come home unload the car, put groceries away, fix myself a sandwich, get back into the car, drive down and pick up Jacob from school. Come home get some dinner for Jacob and get him changing into his gym clothes. I then send my mom out to the bus stop to go get Aiden, (thank goodness my mom was here.) We then get Jacob tested again, feed him and take him to tumbling. My mom stays with him and I come home, go get gas in the Armada which was empty. I washed the car, go home again and get kids dressed (Jack wears 4-5 outfits a day), convince Aiden that he does really want to wrestle, pick up Kelsey who I invited to come with us to practice. I then go pick up Jacob and my mom from tumbling, Kelsey sat in the middle of the boys "I'm boy trapped" she said (love that) and we head to the High school gym wrestling room where the high school wrestling team has just finished practice. The room gives off a terrible odor and we sit and wait for practice to start. After a 1.25 hour practice we hurry and get some ice cream, drop off Kelsey, get home unload kids, test Jacob, change his pump (because he is really high.) I then leave my kids with my mom and go to pick up Brian from the SLC airport. He didn't drive himself down yesterday because he thought he was flying into Heber. He calls me and says "you're always late" this post would be so long if I went into all the reasons Brian is so wrong.... Anyway I ended up picking him up 15 min. after his plane arrived, and only 10 min. after he told me he would get into S.L.C. but the only thing I hear on the phone is "you're always late." I guess it doesn't count the times you are on time driving around the airport or sitting in the park and wait, just the times you're are ALWAYS LATE!

Go Jen Go!!
Run Jen Run.
See Spot Go.
Sorry, we are reading those kind of books!
You crack me up. I love it. Brian better not mess with you when are on one. I would tell you what to tell him, but I know he will read this and my bark is worse than my bite. I think your bark is worse than your bite too!
here, I will bark scaredy cats!! Take one day and switch (of course you are not a pilot, but disappear for the day) then tell him, don't write in down for an easy reminder, all the things that need to happen that day. Just see what happens!!
Brian--don't hate me!! Consider like a really fun science project! :)
JEN, that is halarious! You just made me feel normal. How do you do it all? If Mark was in my shoes for one day he would go CRAZY.....that or he would be sane and my kids would be a mess along with their schedules! Once I had left for five day for girls camp and I had pre-made meals for every meal (except breakfst) for Mark and the two boys. I come back and neither one had had a bath and then I look in the fridge and ALL the meals were still in their un-touched! I asked him WHY? and he responded with, "Hey, they're alive right? You have no idea how much they LOVE Peanut butter and jelly". That was the end of the conversation. Not because he won, but because that comment was not even worth responding too.
That would be me also. In fact I wanted a personal license plate for the car that says RUNNL8! But Lyn doesn't think it's necessary, cause every one knows that I already am. Even though Men think they could handle our lives better, they really couldn't, Cause you just can't learn to multi task with kids in a day.
I think the point has been missed here. I was late because he insisted the boys be at Wrestling. He also mentioned in an earlier conversation when I asked him what time he needed to be picked up, "sorry, right in the middle of everything." Hence, that is why he should have not said anything because I was only doing what he wanted me to do.
I think I am a pretty fantastic mom and wife. I am very understanding when his schedule gets all messed up and I try to be there for him. This was not the time to comment, I was trying to hurry and told him sorry, he was just mean. I had no control over the situation, he had originally planned on flying into Heber so this was all last min.
My new favorite saying:
"because nice matters"
