Venice at night

Brian didn't pack well for Europe, it was extremely hot and he brought only long sleeves and dress shoes. We were able to find him this shirt before we left and some flip flops so he could wear his shorts with out dress shoes and socks. I thought this shirt looked good on him but it seems super super small for a 2X. I think they like it tight in Rome!
This is a picture of our room, I am standing in the doorway as far back as I can get. You can see how tiny it was. There was just enough walking space around the bed. It was a very clean and nice small space!
When in Venice, eat ice-cream (geleto)! Lots of it, every day and every kind. Good Good food in Venice, we arrived at night and took our boat taxi to the Piazza San Marco. Where we looked for our hotel for hours only to find out they had no idea who we were. WE had called them 3 or 4 times, we even got directions to their hotel and the front desk clerk insisted that we were mistaken and that he had been the only one their and we were wrong.
I kept thinking in America we would not be having this conversation over and over, you have a room just book it for us. Don't keep telling us that you never spoke to us and that we must be mistaken!
Anyway we enjoyed some ice-cream and some live music on the Piazza then went for a evening walk. It was beautiful but I was so ready to go back to the hotel and go to sleep.

Our room was super tiny but they had a badai (a toilet that shoots a stream of water at your poopy parts to help you cleanse them more effectively). It was comfortable and we slept well, that is until we heard the RAIN! The next morning we packed up our things and headed out into the rain. We were able to get on the bus taxi and head back closer to the train station where we were planning our over night train to Paris! After checking our luggage at a hold station we went touring Venice.
