Aiden commented to Brian that mama makes taco's every night. So the other night as Jacob sat down to dinner, the normal comment was made "I hate this."
You have never even tried it Jacob just try it. Then Aiden said, "at least it isn't burritos/taco's."
Both Brian and I said, "when we were little we loved it when it was burrito/taco night, it didn't happen very often." I guess it was good because we had steamed veggies and Chicken and the boys ate all of their veggies.
What are your 5 top meals that you make?
Please leave comments I need so more ideas. I really don't make taco's very often. Rachel gave me a whole bunch of leftover TVP that I mixed with turkey burger and taco mix... that lasted a long time. Then I was short on time another day and I fried up the rest of the frozen turkey burger and we had them again. Avocado, beans, tomato, lettuce, taco meat, olives, salsa, and sour cream, Corn and fruit salad. How could that be bad?
Please don't forget to list your favorite top 5 dinners!

Chicken Broccoli Casserole,
Sloppy Joes,
and homemade pizza! (If you want recipes for any of those let me know.)
Deer meat stroganoff (but you gotta have bottled deer meat)love it! so good!
Hamburger Helper or Tuna Helper--I know sad! but its quick and easy.
Meatloaf. I make 10 or 11 at a time. Then freeze them.
Chicken with some random Pasta Roni.
Ramen Noodles!! it is true we eat them alot. maybe not for dinner, but its a nice snack.
I hate casserole.
I need help there too. Sadly I have tried to actually make dinners and try new stuff lately, and my kids hate it! They never eat what I slave over. My kids are most happy when we have mac and cheese with a hot dog. Yuck! Brad loves Taco Soup and Shepherds Pie. Austin loves Pizza. Melana loves spaghetti. Me, well, I don't like much. Cafe Rio anyone?
Hmmmmmm
Tacos are a staple at our house
What else?
We love open face hot hamburger sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy, but i know you HATE that!
It is hard to think of what I cook while I just sit here.
Love Meatloaf, I could have that 4 times a week, but we don't
We seem to eat alot of rice in the winter, teriyaki, stir fry, oh, that yummy freezer meal chicken dinner that I can't think of the name right now - love that
Is that 5 yet?
I could eat lasagna alot more often than I actually make it and I could eat homemade scalloped tators quite often too. Did I mention my pants are getting pretty tight?
Good Luck with dinner!
Rachel
Oh yeah, Matt loves beef stroganoff. Is that how you spell that?
Oh one more thing, we love breakfast for dinner. That is always a hit with the kids
My kids love Chicken Pockets, Tacos, Spaghetti, Potato soup in bread bowls (easy), and one we just had the other night was Three cheese Chicken penne pasta (from the Kraft magazine). The loved it and asked for seconds. They only ever do that with Chicken Pockets.
So awhile back I made a little binder with about 30ish meal ideas in it. Everytime I find a new dish that we like I add to it. On saturday or sunday I go through it and pick what we are going to have for dinner that week and move those cards to the front. I make my shopping list off of that I love it. There is never a question what we will be having for dinner. This week on the list is: Tin Foil Dinners (Baked in the Oven), Taco Soup, Stir Fry, Roast and mashed potatos, Grill ham and Swiss Cheese made with sour dough bread and Italian Chicken.
I love taco's too! I always make Taco soup. Simple and yummy! All I use is 1 can chili, 1 can cream corn, 1/2 bottle of salsa warm and serve over fritos add sour cream and cheese to the top:)
