Brian has a problem with NO!

Short Story: Brian took me to Vegas over Valentines weekend. We were able to go to some great shows. It was a nice break. I hate vacations because I hate spending money, finding babysitters, and figuring out a time when Brian will not need to fly. Brian can not say NO, and we should never attend a sales meeting like that again.
Long Story:(seriously, I could write a novel about a 20 minute conversation during a regular day! Stick to the short story, skip this one...)
Clear this up right in the beginning... He has no problem telling me NO! He also has no problem ignoring me when I tell him NO! He can even weasel his way around me telling the kids No! He however WOULD NOT, COULD NOT, HAS NOT, WILL NOT, tell a salesman no! He will write out the check as fast as you can so NOOOOO! I often think, "it's okay, he has no check book." Funny when he needs it for something and I am home, he can't find it. However it someone comes to the door and I know I have the checkbook with me, somehow he finds a check to write. Last he should never be left alone in a hotel with a infomercial on and a credit card! NEVER! I have a "How to read faster kit", and the "steam it 3000" to prove it! lol
About a year ago Brian was home while I was out shopping. I was only away a "short" time, when I came home Brian was so excited. He had got us the "best" deal, a two night stay in Vegas for $50 plus a $50 credit.
I think Brian forgets that he has never taken a vacation day, he has no idea his work schedule, and we have 4 kids in school and one with diabetes. "Vacation Resort" would call me every couple of weeks to schedule a vacation for the two of us. I HATE THAT, I have no idea his schedule and I am good about not caring too much that I have no idea about his schedule. It changes sometimes from minute to minute. How could I schedule something? I told them and Him that they would need to figure something out. Nine months later I receive a letter in the mail from "Vacation Resort" confirming our reservations for Feb. 14th. My first thought is, did they just put us in or did Brian try and do a surprise for me? I hate vacations for one reason, and one reason only. I have 4 children, who are very young and BUSY! My oldest has diabetes and is a worry with changing pump sites, and keep good control with no problems. My parents love to watch my kids, but they too are busy with church callings, temple assignments and life. I had asked them if they could watch the kids that week, after confirming with Brian that he could actually go. My mom said that the next week would be better. I chatted with Brian and he wasn't sure if he would need to fly the next week or not so I was kind of in limbo. I hate that, I am not a last minute throw things together "lover." I do it all the time but I hate it! I actually did pretty well this time, I was able to think of other ways to still go. None as good as my parents watching the children but at least they were ideas. I finally called my mom one last time to see if any of the Sun-Tue. would work for her to watch the kids. I realized talking to her that it would not work, mainly because of location. The kids were out of school on Monday so I asked if they could go up to her house for the 3 days. It worked out perfect... Brian flew the kids up Saturday while I did a little shopping and we went out to dinner later that night. We arranged to pick them up before my parents had to work in the Temple on Tuesday around 1 p.m. Then we flew out Sunday morning for Vegas. Brian wanted to leave the house by 11:00 a.m.
The night before I had gone over to my friend Amanda's house after I had gone to bed because Brian mentioned "take some nice clothes, I booked us some tickets for a couple nice shows." Nice clothes, I don't have any. I sent out a desperate email and received a call back and came home with lots of options and very tired. I was pleased with myself that I was ready to go Sunday Morning 20 min. early!
The flight seemed to be quick and soon we were in Vegas on a shuttle to our hotel. Brian had booked two shows, he took me to "Phantom of the Opera" and "Beatles LOVE", both surprises. I picked "LaReve." All the shows were amazing in there own way. Phantom was amazing, the music, the huge chandeliers circling over head and meeting then crashing down later. The water/boat scenes too amazing. It was very well done. Beatles LOVE was very good too. I just happened to have some issues with a bladder infection starting and was not able to fully enjoy it. LaReve was all performed on a water stage. Amazing dives, dancing, swimming, and beautiful women's legs with red heals. Last some VERY VERY STRONG BALD MEN! The tricks they performed were incredible. We had the best seats in the house! It was absolutely amazing.
EVEN LONGER...
Back to NO! While on this "free" vacation to Vegas, we were required to sit and listen to a presentation with "Vacation Resort." Brian and I both knew that this was something we didn't want. We felt if it was something that we wanted we would try to buy someone out of theirs who didn't want or couldn't afford it any longer. Not only that but with Brian's Job being so last minute, a time share would not be beneficial for a long time. We usually can get great rates on things last minute anyway.
If you were in the meeting with us you would have never believed that Brian and I were on the same page. He can not, REPEAT, CAN NOT say NO! He kept throwing me under the bus, saying how I never want to travel and I never want to do this. Repeating that he is all for it but it is up to me! Soon I became a little confused and a little upset. Why was he saying all of these things like he wanted it and it was me who they had to convince. Never agreeing with me when I would mention that his job prevents us from scheduling in advance for bigger vacations, etc. We would have been out of there hours before if he would have just kept his mouth shut and not made me the bad wife.
Well we finally were set free and I vowed to never go back to something like this again. I thought, "Brian is not allowed to answer the phone any longer." Those ladies had little voodoo dolls I just know it, that is why I got sick. They all wanted to take my "poor wonderful husband who loved to take his wife on vacations and was all for getting a Hilton Grand Vacation membership if only his hag of a wife would let him go," home with them. I must have heard, "you have it so good" at least 6 times. HE WAS THE ANGEL I WAS THE DEVIL!
UPDATE: Brian got off his CELL phone (how did they get his Cell phone number) a couple days ago and said, I have us booked for another vacation to Vegas with the same company just a different branch. FREE..... NOOOOOOOO!
I told him I would not go to the meeting. He said it is required. Why should I go to the meeting if you are going to THROW ME UNDER THE BUS! He said "if I tell you before the meeting that I am going to throw you under the bus, then can I?" Noooooo, just learn to say NO!
I hope we can figure out a time to go when Brian will not be on call, find a babysitter, etc... I don't think Brian and I have the same idea of what FREE is! BTW... you all know that I love him and that we are great right!

I am SO glad that Brad loves to say no. He doesn't even let them get their spill out - just says, no we're not interested and hangs up. Sorry for that! But at least you got to go to Vegas. I still have never been. Someday. The shows sound awesome! I am jealous.

I enjoyed all the things you told me about your vacation. You never mentioned that Brian had signed up again. Have him check with us on babysitting. Mombo
