Self Feeding

In February at Charlee's 8 month check up! (we are off a bit on check up's) Dr. Dave suggested self feeding. I remember that he told me the kids who self feed are the best eaters, we tried it once. Here is proof! I tried it, and I didn't like it! :)
This picture was taken in February, the idea is you put her in her highchair with only a diaper or onesie, then dump baby food on her tray! This results with them automatically put their hands in the food and then into their mouth. Yuck, they might say the first two times, but soon that hand keeps going back and they learn to like it. Sounds great, but very very messy!

Holy Cow, I have been behind on reading your blog, that or you just updated it a lot all together. First, I LOVE the new house, but not enough pictures of it. I need to go see it:) I love the back porch; it's a southern thing, lol. Happy b-day to Jacob. Can you believe he will be 8 next year? One thing I don't miss is the "self feeding". I always interpreted that with finger foods; you know the non-messy food, lol. Guess I should have asked for more details on that one. She's getting so big. Are you ready for your move? Let me know when I can help and the day you move out so I can be your blonde Latin cleaning lady!

I've never tried that! Looks like fun... I prefer to feed Jason the liquidy foods myself and let him eat the "finger-ish" foods himself. (Like peas, pears, green beans) The stuff most of us use a fork with. :) But he really is such a good eater. Good luck with Charlee-girl!

Sorry Dr. Dave, but if that is what I'd have to deal with I'd rather just feed them until they're 30!
