You have a big mouth!

I know right now you are thinking, "who is she talking about, clearly she would not be speaking of herself." If you are indeed thinking this you are wrong I am speaking of my tiny mouth!
Mouths have been the topic of conversation these past few days.
It all started with a friendly trip to the dentist. My dentist, and also friend, told me that I "had a big mouth." He then tried to fix what he said as it came out kind of mean and rude by saying, "it is not that you have a big mouth your mouth is just really large." He then said, "I am just going to shut up." He really didn't say anything else the rest of the time. He was impressed by how wide I can open my mouth and said that normally he wouldn't have been able to do the procedure he did on someone who didn't have a "big mouth" like myself.

Then tonight at SEP's (parent teacher's conference) after speaking with Mrs. Patterson about Jacob, we found that Jacob might have a bit of a mouth problem too. He has got into trouble a couple times for talking too much. She said not often but it has happened. This I am sure comes from Brian mostly. Brian's mom just brought over some old school report cards and stuff from his childhood and after looking at these things, it looks like he is going to be like his father. We will say nothing of the fact that the poor kid has no chance of not being a talker, due to his mothers bubbly personality and as Dr. McNaughton so kindly pointed out her "big mouth". As soon as we finished with Jacob we rushed off to meet with Mrs. O (Aiden and Jack's teacher.) We had a nice visit with her and towards the end of the visit I told her that I spoke with the speech therapist and she mentioned that she didn't feel like Jack had speech problems. I asked Mrs. O if she felt like Jack was at the right level of speech for his age. "I think Jack speaks really well, I find that he is thirsty a lot and when he is thirsty his lips get enormous. This makes it hard to understand him. I give him full drinking fountain privileges so he won't get swollen lips or be dehydrated." YOU GOT TO LOVE JACK'S LUSCIOUS LIPS!

This did however make me a bit concerned about diabetes and I have tested him twice since and his numbers look good. She also said that Aiden is a leader and that we should work on those qualities instead of thinking that he should skip a grade! Jack, she said, is a good boy and acts age appropriately. She said she had some concerns at first but he is doing a lot better.

I love the video! You tell your dentist that the next time he tells you that you have a BIG mouth, you're going to change dentists and come to my office in Salt Lake! You can come with your backyard neighbors (the P's - however in the heck you spell their name!) That's funny that Jack Jack's lips swell up - I've never noticed that but I will now!!

Love you guys!
