Ice Cream Truck

Jacob has the biggest heart!

Jacob came home from school today and he had stopped by Rachel's house to see Kelsey. While there he saw the ice cream truck and was determined to buy and ice cream by the time he came home. Rachel stopped by a bit later to bring me some dinner leftovers and we asked if Kelsey could stay for a bit.
They all went in the back yard and played for a bit but Jacob could not get the ice-cream truck out of his head. Soon he was asking me if he could go to Rachel's house and see if it was still there. I didn't want him to go and didn't feel like it was a good idea for him to be chasing a truck! He assured me that he would stay on the sidewalk and he would be very safe. He rode to the corner by Cranes and then came back somewhat disappointed but you could tell very relieved that he had been able to go.
He soon was busy playing in the backyard when Kelsey heard the ice-cream truck. They all ran into the front yard and across the park where the ice-cream truck stopped. Jacob earlier had got all the money out of his bank so he could buy treats for everyone. I told him that he could use 3 dollars.

He was outside with his money, Kelsey, Aiden, and Jack running close behind. He asked if he could buy our neighbors one too. I told him he only had $3. Sweet boy choose from the $1 ice-creams and bought Kelsey, Aiden, and himself a ice-cream.

Soon Jack had arrived and then I see Jacob running back home I hear him ask Michael as he passes him, "do you want one?" Michael's says no. He runs in takes off his shoes runs up stairs and asked, Please momma can I have 1 more $1 for Jack Jack. I say yes and he is sooo Happy that he got to buy for everyone. Jacob has always been a thoughtful boy, I love him.

Man oh man what I would give to be a kid. Have to worry about if the ice cream truck/van/junk car is coming into the neighborhood. How fun!
