What it will be like
When I walk By your side
I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face Is before me
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
[Chorus:]Surrounded by Your glory,
what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus
or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence
or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah,
will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

The stories of phone calls, last words, final moments, and brave rescues still make me sad, yet honored to be an American. Seven years! I remember Bryce was on his mission when this happened. I always thought how hard that would be to be out of the country when something so significant happens.
As a child my Father served in the Navy, being overseas you gain a better appreciation for our country and the freedoms we experience everyday. I will never forget we went to see a superman movie in the theaters in Wales, England. I my stood up and cheered when superman brought the flag back to the White House!
I will always remember the "where." Growing up my mom said she remembered "where" she was when she heard that President Kennedy had been assassinated. I remember "where" I was when the space shuttle Challenger exploded. I also remember many of the personal memories of "where" I was when I found out information, good, bad, or sad.
The "where" in our lives come and they go and we gain a love and an appreciation for the things we learn from these experiences.
...I love the line in the song "or in awe of you be still." So tragic the effects of 9/11. I remember the heartache I felt for those who lost loved ones, I remember being glued to the T.V. at work and at home. I didn't have any children then but I was pregnant with Jacob and I couldn't imagine what pain families were feeling as they searched if their loved ones were alive or not!
When the towers fell, I remember thinking about all the service men and women who were going in to help. Brian was in law enforcement at the time and my heart again ached for the loved ones of those killed. It has been seven years! I can't believe it has been seven years!

Pretty amazing post Jen. It is hard to believe that 7 years have already past. In case you haven't alreay, ask dad about where he was and what he was doing. He's got a pretty cool story.
I woke up crying that morning. I woke up to the radio playing audio clips of that day. I couldn't believe all the emotions that were dug up. I guess I'm glad I can still "feel" the pain. What a horrible day. I flew United out of Dulles two days before September 11th. My husband's uncle was spared from this disaster because he decided to iron a shirt that morning. He was "late" for work.
