"Daddy I have a hole in my sock, but it is okay. I can wear them anyway." Then he will wear them for about an 1 hour until he can't stand it anymore and he will take it off. The other saying he is famous for, this is one he has told us from an early age. "These socks are a bit ticking me off, or these socks are ticking me off."
I remember I had bought my mom some new socks. She and my dad had just got home from their mission in Australia and she asked that I get a few things for her and my dad for when they got home. I bought her some socks, ankle socks to be exact and they didn't stay up. They always slid below her heal and into the toe of her shoe. She, thinking she was going to get some sympathy from Aiden said to him one day, "these socks are ticking me off." Aiden replied "mamos has Princess toes." Needless to say Mamos was broken hearted, she really thought that Aiden would understand how it feels. Well Brian of coarse had told Aiden two or three weeks prior to this event that he (Aiden) had princess toes and he (Aiden) did not like that one bit.
My sock issue comes into play with the picture below... I have a sock bin and while I am doing laundry all socks that don't match up go into this bin. (Gray bin shown below)
This is the pile of socks I dumped out on Monday night. I told the boys I would watch a movie with them while I matched and folded socks. I think my sock bin was overflowing and it was way past time to match and fold. I don't know how I can find matches for them in this huge pile but while I am washing them I always have 2 or 3 socks that don't match up and go into the gray bin.
Jacob wanted to be in the picture of the folded socks. The bin is now full of matched and folded socks. All "boy/men" socks (I don't have socks), in front of the bin are the socks I couldn't find matches for.
Wow now you know more about the inner depths of my "Jen issues."

I would expect that many socks in a family of 12, not 5! Holy Smack!
I am impressed with how many mates you found in that whole pile! If we waited that long to mate our socks we would have to wear flip flops for weeks!
Brian has the most, then Jacob, but only because Jacob gets all the ones that I buy for Aiden and they end up being tick off socks.

We know about those tick off socks. Kelsey had MAJOR issues and still does sometimes but she is getting old enough to fix it herself. We had a whole pile of perfectly good socks that Kelsey would not wear because the seam over the toe was in the wrong place. Kendal could care less, she puts on socks with the heel part on the front, and I let her. That was my mistake with Kelsey, I had to have them perfect on her feet, so then she took it to the EXTREME!
