I was very excited to go to quilt guild tonight however, even though it was very enjoyable, it made me a little sad.
1. I miss my friend Rachel, I miss not living by her, I miss not sewing and gardening and walking and talking with her. I forgot how much I missed her just because I am no longer a few houses away. Quilt guild was one other thing that I was able to do with her and I rarely get to go. I think I was able to go 3 times last year.
2. I don't take time to sew any more. I see all of these ladies signing up for projects and bringing sew and tells. I wanted to be them.
3. I was so excited for the guest speaker, but she was snowed out!
Solutions:
1. go to quilt guild, start finding a babysitter earlier so it isn't such a problem.
2. TAKE THE TIME!
3. Seeing all of the ladies and even seeing a few friends that don't come to quilt guild normally was a great thing. I was hugged, I mingled, I had some treats, I embarrassed myself with silly comments and many many people spoke and laughed with me. In my book you can't get guest speakers to beat good friends. Even if you give them a large stick!
It was too bad the guest was not able to come up, I love looking at quilts. However I met a new lady tonight and her "hand quilted" quilts were amazing. Nice to meet you Bonie.

I love that a good guest speaker does not beat good friends - that is so true!
It was a great night. I just went to Russ's page and checked out that article , you crack me up.

We will garden when this snow leaves - promise.
I saw weeds already yesterday when I was soaking the rays up on the back deck - dang it!!
