Just a reminder for the new year!

Brian was prompted to tell his brother "remember to shut the man door." He thought to himself, no he knows that, it would be silly for me to tell him that. BJ didn't shut the man door on the airport Hanger and now the door is no more!



I was told, over and over that Jacob was not okay and that I should test him. I didn't listen! I kept reassuring myself with other things and ignored what I should have done.

I know he recovers quickly from his seizure lows, but the way he looks and feels during that time is something I can't displace from my memory. His brain doesn't work, his body doesn't function how he wants it to. He is in a panic state and desperate for anything to help him feel better. It is a terrible scary experience, and I pray that no one has to watch someone they love go through this frightening low, I WANT A CURE.

I am thankful to our friends who recently had a scary experience with their 4 month old. He (our friend) went in and checked on his baby son and luckily found him in time to save his life. I can't imagine the fear that they must have felt as they drove (very fast) to the ER. Thank you for reminding us that if we listen we sometimes can protect the ones we love.
