Mamos and Papa

My Mom and Dad came down today and went to the boys wrestling finals. Another year down, only 10 or so more to go! Brian and Mom (Suzanne) drove in mom's car to pick up the boys from tumbling. I went and bought Aiden a b-day cake (last min change of plans) then Jack and my mom and I met Brian at the high school. They all (Jack (3), Aiden (4), Jacob (6)) had a lot of fun and did really well.
Jacob is very aggressive and went right for the other boys legs. Jacob put moves on these kids that I don't know the name of but Landon and Brian sure were rattling off things like "nice reverse" and "he trying a cradle, etc." Did I mention he was very aggressive...
Aiden is aggressive and good when he thinks you are watching, then he forgets that he is wrestling and rolls over on his back 'just for fun.' He had a couple matches where his opponent was either on his back or on his feet ready to wrestle. Aiden had more take downs in that match than I think most kids had in all 4 matches.
Jack is just so cute, they hold hands until they get to there specified place on the mats and then into position they go. Smiling through their growls, and laughing through the pain of a head slamming onto the mat followed by a knee to the nose.
I only had to console him once and he recovered quickly and was back at the other little boy, this time claws out and ready to take out an eye. Both boys were a bit rough with each other after Jack got hurt the first time, but then they calmed down and were smiling again. I had numerous comments from spectators about what tough boys I have. They were impressed how quickly Jack recovered from the blow to his nose!
Oh did I mention that we got a new camera for Christmas and Brian has the whole match filmed in HD for anyone who wants to relive the experience in High Definition! :)
We came home and let Aiden open his present from Grams, he loves his new "homework" book, as he calls it. He loves to sit at the table and play "homework." We were going to do cake and ice-cream but it was getting late and I didn't want Jacob's numbers to go up.
After the boys went to bed, I grabbed some balloons and put them in Aiden's room. Aiden is almost 5 years old...
