The man that I love (remember this, that I love him) is losing his mind. He truly thinks that Women who are within 9 mos. after giving birth have a advantage to losing weight over someone who has not just had a baby!
AND I QUOTE:
"The body gains weight naturally to support the pregnancy, for the most part the body will return to it's previous state prior to the baby being conceived (plus a few pounds). Losing that weight is not the same as just a person who is generally overweight losing his/her weight. That requires a lifestyle change, not just a birth and a return to normalcy."
Here is another email he sent out...
"I call a full court press B.S. on Tori... She had a baby in May and that means she is still losing baby weight, which doesn't count for the same!!! If you can't tell, I'm now ducking behind my computer screen to shield myself for what must be some incoming artillery."
Brian
Feel free to email him and give him a piece of your mind. FYI, it will not work and he will stand by his stupid logic, but it should be some fun banter.
If you have any letters from MD's or articles would be nice, it still won't work but I will feel better if others agree with me and not him! IF you agree with him, well then you are just plain stupid, but you can email him that too! If you don't know my husband, let me inform you a bit. He will pick apart everything you write back to him, so be sure on your words!
Oh did I mention that I love him and that I am 40 lbs over weight after just having a major surgery 4 months ago to deliver a baby where they thought I might die! Just in case you were wondering.
OH, I also know that Brian loves me very much, he is just losing his mind.
UPDATE: It only took a week of Brian explaining his logic to me for me to see some of his side. We now agree that many other circumstances play into this logic of his. He has now pointed out that nursing, multiple children, children all close together, genetics, sickness during pregnancy, etc... are exceptions to the rules.
A point that made me kind of see what he was talking about was...
A woman, first baby; gains 25-30 pounds. Normal weight gain right, after baby she no longer has morning sickness, no more heartburn, etc... He says that she will naturally lose the weight that she put on over 9 months. 9 months on 9 months off is what he says. She no longer is gaining the weight to support the baby (unless nursing) so if she goes back to her lifestyle before she had the baby the pounds should come off easier than if someone has been over weight for 10 years. Basically the perfect pregnancy!
I think his views go deeper than this, but this is the one example that I could agree with.
When I emailed this out I thought Brian was dead wrong. After a week, that is right it takes a week of discussion for us, I realize that he was only kind of dead wrong. In his emails to others he states things like... for the most part, plus a few pounds, and except for nursing... I didn't want this to be about me, I should not have sent the email I guess, but it did give Brian and I something to talk about for a few days.
So in closing the only stupid thing that Brian did was bring up weight issue to a bunch of women who had some hard pregnancy's and want to be skinny again. I still think that gaining weight with each baby, then nursing, I pretty much gained weight and nursed from mid summer of 2002 until summer of 2006. Not to mention finding out Jacob has diabetes! I did lose most of my weight right before I got pregnant with Charlee and I hope to continue to nurse Charlee for a couple more months before I work on getting my skinny self back!
I hope that this didn't cause any hard feelings and that if another issue is to arise we can all have some friendly banter back and forth. I do love what Brian writes, I guess that is why I married him, I for the most part can deal with his big words and sarcasm.
Tori - Brian said the pizza was fantastic.
Amanda - Brian loved the treats in his Airplane.
This is all in fun right!
He really should have been a Lawyer! REALLY.

I have to admit that the bantering has been quite fun to read. Glad you have both come to an agreement!
Kandy talked to me in church today about the email banter she has been reading. She said "my ob told me it takes 2 years for things to get back to somewhere close to how they used to be. Brian has no compassion."
I laughed and laughed.

It was definately all in fun! It is nice to have a little banter.
My feelings did not get hurt, and I hope that I didn't offend anyone.
Everyone experiences things in life differently.
Love you Rowsers!!
