Fears and Church

Last week in pre-school, thanks to our new calendar of events, the boys learned about "v" and fears! The boys don't talk much about what goes on at school unless forced. I forget most of the time to ask them and I need to be better about that. Maybe at dinner we can start talking about school. Well Brian picked up Jack last Tuesday from school and Jack was unusually grumpy. He told daddy, "I hate books!" Brian brought him home then went to work. Jack and I laid on my bed and I began to ask him a few questions, "did you sit in the thinking chair today?" "NO, I not want talking to you mama."
"Jack why do you hate books?"
"I no talking."
I tried to get him to talk about it but finally just decided to snuggle with him and watch a movie. Later I looked at the calender of what happened that day it was "fears, Bats in the library!" Poor Jack Jack, he now "hates books."

Thursday is the end of the week for Jack and Aiden. Jack was still not his normal self and was acting really distant and off-ish. He showed me his little book he made. Aiden had one too. The book was called "Jack o' faces." They colored these pictures then it was cut and made into a book and read the book to the kids.
Cover: "Jack- o- faces" with a picture of a pumpkin.
Page 2: "This is Jack -O-Happy" picture of a Jack-O-Lantern with smiling face.
Page 3: "This is Jack -O-Sad" Picture of a Jack-O-Lantern with tears and a frown.
Page 4: "Now you see him sleepy" you get the idea on the pictures
Page 5: "Now you see him Mad."
Page 6: "This is Jack in pieces Small--" here is where the learning of fear goes to the next level.
Page 7: "But in a pie he's best of all!" POOR JACK
Yes this was a hard week for him!

I guess the week might have been a hard one for Jacob too. Because in Church today in my old home ward. Jacob announced
"I live in an orphanage!"
Later the primary president was talking about how Heavenly father makes us all special and different. Aiden stands up and says,
My brother is special, Heavenly Father made him special "he has diabetes!" But when we die he will be perfect like me!

He will be perfect like me - oh my goodness. I just want to eat him up.
The Jack o Faces book was a hit at our house, maybe Kendal thought Jack was really a pumpkin!
