Yesterday Brian's instructor told him that he felt like he was indeed ready to solo. It doesn't happen very often that someone is ready to solo in the minimum required hour time frame. Brian's instructor decided that maybe the head instructor should fly once with Brian and just make sure that he is indeed ready.
Of course... the head instructor was amazed with Brian's ability...
Of course he would be cleared for his first solo by two of the best pilots teaching at this school with just 19.3 hours.
Of course he would be able to meet up with the chief flight instructor last night and finish up his required 20 hours. Ending up with 20.1 hours.
Of course he would take the chief instructor who has never been in a small airplane up in the Husky (tail wheel) and show him all the amazing things his "dog" will do.
I asked Brian to type up a description of the husky flight for you but I have not received it yet... we will see if it happens.
