That is one way to earn $1

4th of July, we had fireworks and the boys and I went for a bike ride to watch other people's fireworks. Watermelon and a Movie and Bed!

BOYS! What else do I need to say... Jacob and the boys were playing on the recliner downstairs when it was tipped over and the exposed metal edge at the top of the recliner. That metal piece that once ripped large scraps down my old house wall through the sheet rock now did the same thing to Jacob's gums! He has a slice about 2 - 2 1/2 " long that layed open his front tooth.

(BTW, I swear that is not my hand that is my MOTHERS AND GRANDMOTHERS hand)
It sliced right along his front teeth, you could lift his gums up off of his front teeth. The tooth had to come out, Brian being the strong brave daddy that he is, said "absolutely not, it is fine, leave it alone." Poor Brian and his nightmares about his childhood teeth extraction tools... a door and floss.
Anyway back to the story. I wrapped some floss around the tooth, before Jacob went to bed, and pulled! Nothing, in the "you tube" video it came right out, so I decided I would try again. Jacob was up for it, it hurt to stay in, I wrapped the floss around the tooth again and pulled on the ends and out it came and with it blood and tissue, lots of tissue! Tooth fairy came $1 left and everything is good!

Tooth! July 4th
Update: A week after the extraction of Jacobs tooth, I looked up there and it looked like the root might possibly still be in his gums. I took him to the dentist and they took x-rays and said it was just a scab of sorts. I looked at the x-ray, it is going to be awhile before that tooth comes down. WE did get his back molars sealed on that same visit! Yeah!
