Fish and more Fish!

Water Water everywhere. A pond sits right down the side hill from my parents house. When my dad was younger he remembered having a pond there and he wanted to bring it back. So 4 years ago he had it dug out, well basically for the grand kids to have somewhere to throw rocks! My dad took Jacob down to the river, to "throw rocks in the river", so many times I think the next step was to dig him a pond. The boys love it and Jacob, our avid fisherman, has wanted fish in it for some time. My dad tried to put in perch and blue gill, but the water went down too low and they didn't make it.
This year my dad bought 150 pounds of rainbow trout, he had said before that he didn't want to put trout in his pond. I guess Jacob and Aiden wanting to go down to the other ponds and look/fish for the huge trout has helped my dad change his mind. Chapter 2
The boys ate trout tonight!

The rule is you catch it you eat it! Oh and only one fish a day. Brian came to Idaho today and Jacob was so excited to show him the new fish in the pond, that grandpa said he could catch one more if he called down to great grandma's house to see if they wanted a trout to eat. My grandma said yes and Jacob was off on his bike delivering the fish to them. When he came back Brian went down to the pond with him and they caught a fish. Brian cleaned it and let Aiden practice casting with a "bass lure" on the end of the fishing pole. Aiden caught a fish, Brian didn't think they would bite at a bass lure, so Brian also ate fish.
Really Aiden ate 1 1/2 fish and Jacob, well Jacob's fish was huge and had a TON of meat on it so he ate a lot of trout too. You won't find me fishing in my dad's pond, well unless I find someone to clean and eat the trout! ;)

Wow! That is like a little boys dream! Their very own fishing pond! Justin is very jealous.

That is really cool. Austin doesn't have any desire to fish. Maybe he would if Brad actually took him once in a while!
