A1C going down

My silly silly son! We are very excited to announce that Jacob recently had a appointment at the Diabetes Clinic in SLC (that cost me $311...another story) and his A1C is now 7.5 ! Last appointment his A1C was 8.9 which is bordering poor control. With a 7.5 we are closer to excellent control on the lower end of good control.
These are the needles that I poke into Jacob every 3 days. The sensor is the short thicker needle and the pump site is the longer needle.
We attribute his A1C numbers are down close to excellent control due to his new continuous blood glucose monitor (sensor). We told Jacob about his numbers and how a 6.0 or below is non-diabetic, telling him how great that is and how thankful we are that he listens to us and takes such good care of his diabetes. He told us, I will listen and I will test myself when you ask me, and I will even give myself extra insulin to get my numbers down. No "don't give yourself extra insulin Jacob" we said. I guess Jacob was so excited he said he was going to get his A1C down to below a 6.0 so he wouldn't have diabetes anymore. ooooppps, poor Jacob.
